Taking Chances...

I allowed my 9 year old daughter Autumn take photos of me today using my Nikon D5200 DSLR. I can't tell you how proud I am of her. She took the pictures while I edited them. She may be a future photographer. I have never let her use my camera before, and I am very cautious about ANYONE using my camera other than me. I guess I took a chance, and it paid off.

I also managed to take a few pictures of the kids earlier in the afternoon.

I was flipping through some old images of when we first moved into our new home during the summer of 2011 and I was in the last 3wks of my pregnancy with Abby. I managed to find a lovely picture of Marc on my baby bump.

I have been doing better or at least feeling like I am progressing with my photo taking skills and editing skills as well. I have been looking at old photos and trying I see if there is anyway that I can edit them to make them better or just improve their overall look. It's exciting really. You have no idea how much it makes me happy to take all these pictures and stay up late to edit them. Don't get me wrong, it's not helping my sleeping patterns at all, but it does make me happy to have something so exciting to be involved in. I am hoping that I am able to take the kids out tomorrow or go to a park to take some photos. I guess it will depend on the weather as well. Here is hoping! Anyway it is really late and we finally got Abby to fall asleep while listening to the Glenn Beck Program. Goodnight!

Adventures in babysitting

For the past two days, I was busy chasing after toddlers. I did some good deeds and babysat for a friend of mine with her 16 month old little girl Briley and my neighbor's 15 month old little girl Kennedy. The girls had a good time playing with Abby and even napped together. I guess I can safely say that for now, I like them as babies.

Today was spent just editing photos from the passed few days.
